About TexVAL
The mission of TexVAL is to not only to provide a place
for Texas-based businesses who wish to hire a VA within their state a
place to find them, but also a place for virtual assistants within the
state of Texas to have a place to come together and enrich their
knowledge on a state and local level.
Our goal is to share resources and information with virtual assistants within the state. Because it's a smaller group, we are able to make decisions quickly - and implement them quickly! We encourage our members to give ideas and resources, and we share them with all of our members.
The Texas Virtual Assistance League was started in October 2009 by Candy Beauchamp, a successful virtual assistant (VA) residing in Austin. Over the years, several virtual assistants had asked her about a statewide group and, after much deliberation, she decided to go for it.
Candy is the owner of OffAssist, a virtual bookkeeping service, and the founder of 2 Minutes With A VA, a video blogging project where she answers questions from readers (and watchers!). She is a Past President of IVAA (International Virtual Assistants Association) and an administrator for VAnetworking. Candy loves sharing with other virtual assistants and giving back to the community at large.
